The City of Salem will remove the floating boat docks at Wallace Marine Park and Minto-Brown Island Park on Thursday, October 10, 2019. The floating boat docks are removed in mid–to-late fall each year to prevent them from collecting debris, being damaged, or being carried away as river levels rise. They will be reinstalled when water levels recede in the spring.
River levels for the Willamette River near Salem are monitored to determine when the floating boat docks at the Wallace Marine Park and Minto-Brown Island Park boat ramps need to be removed for the fall and winter seasons.
