The Future of the Salem River Crossing Project to be Decided Tonight

Posted on February 11, 2019

The Salem City Council will decide how to proceed on the Salem River Crossing Project this evening. A no vote would end the years of planning and efforts to build the bridge.

Council will also receive an additional information report on the Salem River Crossing Project which answers three questions raised at the January 30 work session and clarifies information contained in the original report on January 18.

Also, there will be a vote whether to approve an agreement with the Oregon Department of Transportation that pays for traffic signal improvements on 12th Street.

There will be a public hearing to review a Planning Commission decision to approve a Tree Variance for a proposed 111-unit apartment complex on Wiltsey Road SE and Candy Flower Court SE.

There will be a public hearing on a petitioner-initiated annexation for property located at 4945 Delton Lane NE.
