Heavy snow causes widespread outages in Roseburg, southern Willamette Valley

Pacific Power crews are working to restore power to approximately 42,000 customers and have called in additional support from outside of the area

ROSEBURG, ORE. – Approximately 42,000 Pacific Power customers from Corvallis to Roseburg are without power due to winter weather conditions. Additional resources and crews have been called in from outside the area to help with restoration. Given the extensive storm-related damage to power lines, the number of repairs that are necessary, and the fact that storm conditions persist, Pacific Power is working to provide estimated times for restoration, but customers currently without power should plan to remain so until at least Tuesday morning.

Communities experiencing significant outages as of 3:30 p.m.:

Cottage Grove: 4,994 customers
Lebanon: 3,706 customers
Junction City: 1,037 customers
Roseburg: 31,154 customers

Crews have been working non-stop since the storm began early Sunday afternoon, assessing damage and making repairs. However heavy snow continued into Monday causing falling trees, road closures and damage to power lines. Crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore power.
