The Salem Police Department is currently investigating a fatal shooting in NE Salem. Officers responded to a home in the 400 block of 22nd St NE around 3:19am on August 4th, 2019 after receiving a report of a disturbance. When officers arrived, they located one victim with a gun shot wound. The victim was transported to the Salem Hospital via ambulance where they were pronounced deceased. Investigators are questioning a suspect at this time. This investigation is on going and more information will be released as it becomes available.
