Marion Co. Sheriff’s Office – 07/16/20 3:00 PM
On July 15th, 2020, at approximately 9:20 pm, an adult in custody (AIC), Sanson Garcia-Perez, 28, was found in his cell unresponsive following an apparent suicide attempt. Deputies at the Marion County Jail attempted life saving efforts and requested an ambulance. Efforts to resuscitate Garcia-Perez were not successful, he was pronounced as deceased shortly after 10:00 pm.
In accordance with the policy of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office was asked to conduct an investigation into the death.
