SALEM, OR – Silverton Road is currently closed between 60th Avenue and 64th Place for the replacement of the Silverton Road Bridge over the Little Pudding River. Due to utility and other unforeseen delays, the Silverton Road closure is being extended to January 31, 2022. Until the road is reopened, two well-marked detour routes will remain in place as shown on the attached map.
Closing Silverton Road during construction has ensured that all of the in-water work has occurred within the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife’s designated in-water work window for the Little Pudding River in one construction season without impacting homes on either side of Silverton Road.
