How will Salem use Federal Funds to Address Local Low-to Moderate-Income, Homeless and Special Needs in the Community?

Annual Action Plan Available for Review

Salem, Ore. – The City of Salem annually receives HOME Investment Partnerships and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. The Annual Action Plan (AAP) is a component of a five-year Consolidated Plan that specifically describes how Salem will spend these federal resources for activities serving low-and moderate-income persons, the homeless, and persons with special needs.

Salem’s draft AAP is available for public review and comment from Feb. 21 – Mar. 23, 2022. Electronic versions of the documents are located online. Copies are also available for review during regular business hours at the Salem Public Library (585 Liberty St. SE) and at the Salem Urban Renewal Agency (350 Commercial St. NE).

Written comments may be submitted to the Salem City Recorder (550 Liberty Street, SE, Room 205) or by email to ecorder@cityofsalem.net“>cityrecorder@cityofsalem.net. All written comments must be received no later than 5 p.m., Mar. 23, 2022.

The Salem City Council will hold a virtual public hearing at 6 p.m., Apr. 25, 2022. Real-time viewing of this meeting is available on the Capital Community Media YouTube channel.
