Hearing Set on Eliminating Minimum Parking Requirements on Development

Join us Monday, April 10, 2023, at 6 p.m. for City of Salem meetings starting with the Salem Housing Authority followed by Salem Urban Renewal Agency, and then Salem City Council. There will be an executive session on Real Property Transactions at 5:15 p.m., which is not open to the public.

Agenda items include:

  • Public hearing on 2023 Annual Action Plan for CDBG and HOME funds
  • Public hearing on proposed code amendment to eliminate minimum parking requirements on development citywide
  • Purchase and Sale Agreement with LTC Properties for real property at 295 Commercial Street SE (Housing Authority)
  • Extend agreement for Salem Housing Authority to serve as general manager of Salem Manor Apartments to facilitate development of affordable housing
  • National Public Safety Telecommunications Proclamation Week
  • Grant application to the Willamette Wildlife Mitigation Program for acquisition and conservation of property north of Wallace Marine Park
  • Air carrier operating agreement and local matching funds agreement with Travel Salem
