[SALEM, OR] The Oregon State Fair is thrilled to announce an exciting partnership with American Idol and KATU to bring Idol auditions to the Fair on Saturday, August 26!Aspiring singers can showcase their talents at the “Oregon State Fair Idol” competition, for a chance to win a virtual VIP Executive Producer Audition with American Idol!
Performers are required to pre-register and submit their audition videos by August 15, for consideration. The top 40 performers selected will showcase their talents at the “Oregon State Fair Idol” competition on Saturday August 26, at 11:00 a.m. on the Spirit of Oregon Stage.
All acts will be video recorded, and the People’s Choice Audition Award winner, chosen by Fairgoers, will be submitted to American Idol for a virtual VIP Executive Producer Audition!
“The Oregon State Fair is excited to be a part of this unique opportunity to give local talent a platform to shine,” said Kimberly Jacobsen, Oregon State Fair Spokesperson. “We invite friends, family, and Idol fans to join us in cheering on the contestants and taking part in voting for the winner of the virtual VIP Executive Producer Audition.”
