Minto-Brown’s off-leash dog area is 30 acres and provides plenty of room for dogs to roam, play, and visit with other dogs. The spacious area is one of Salem’s most popular destinations for dog owners in the City.
USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards is a prestigious digital contest that recognizes the best in travel, food and drink, and lifestyle. The contest takes place online, allowing the public to vote for one nominee per category, per day for four weeks.
Minto-Brown Island Park is spread out over 1,200 acres of lush, open, and wooded areas along the Willamette River in south Salem. It’s not only the biggest park in Salem, but also larger than Central Park in New York City. The park offers a diverse range of activities and natural attractions for visitors of all ages as well as serving as a waterfowl and wildlife sanctuary for blue herons, osprey, squirrels, rabbits, deer, beavers, and eagles. It is surrounded by more than 29 miles of trails in 9 distinct loops.
Minto-Brown Island Park is located at 2200 Minto Island Road SE in Salem and can also be accessed from Riverfront Park via the Peter Courtney Minto Island Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge.
