FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH

WEDNESDAY EVENING FOR THUNDERSTORMS FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 684, 686, AND 688…

The National Weather Service in Portland has issued a Fire Weather Watch for thunderstorms, which is in effect from Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday evening.

* AFFECTED AREA…In Oregon, Fire Weather Zone 684 Northern and Central Willamette Valley, Fire Weather Zone 686 Northern, Oregon Cascade Foothills and Fire Weather Zone 688 Mt. Hood   National Forest Region.

* THUNDERSTORMS…2 (A slight chance of thunderstorms).

* IMPACTS…Lightning and critically dry fuels may result in   numerous fire starts.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible Red Flag Warnings. Thunderstorm outflow winds may result in erratic fire spread.
