Keizer Man Killed in I-5 Crash in Clackamas County

CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore.—A Keizer man died early Saturday morning after his vehicle struck a parked semi-truck along Interstate 5 near milepost 282.

Oregon State Police say 28-year-old Ricardo Hernandez was driving a northbound Chevrolet Avalanche around 6 a.m. when it left the roadway and hit the rear of a parked Kenworth truck and trailer occupied by Rebecca and Bryan Kious of Elk City, Oklahoma.

Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck’s occupants were not injured. The crash did not block traffic, and OSP was assisted by the Aurora Fire Department and ODOT.
