Salem Human Rights Commission to Host Listening Session on Disability Inclusion

The Salem Human Rights Commission is inviting community members with disabilities — as well as their families and advocates — to share their experiences at a public Listening Session.

📅 Date & Time: Monday, September 15, at 1 p.m.
📍 Location: Center 50+, 2615 Portland Road NE

The Commission has formed a task force of residents and professionals with lived experience to identify barriers and advance equity in Salem.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Highlight barriers that prevent full participation in city life

  • Help shape recommendations for improving accessibility and inclusion

  • Provide input that will inform city planning, policies, and projects
