historic milestone is coming to Marion County Fire District No. 1. On Wednesday, November 12, the district will hold its first-ever all-female promotional ceremony, recognizing the promotion of four EMS Lieutenants — the first to hold this new leadership rank within the district’s growing emergency medical services system.
The badge pinning ceremony begins at 3:30 p.m. at Station 1 on Cordon Road NE in Salem.
District leaders say the event marks a groundbreaking moment for women in emergency services and a proud step forward in advancing diversity and leadership opportunities within the fire district.
Community members and partner agencies are invited to attend and celebrate the accomplishments of these trailblazing leaders.
