December 1: Salem Council Will Consider Emergency Declaration on Immigration

At its December 1 meeting, Salem City Council will consider an emergency declaration related to U.S. Immigration Customs and Enforcement. They will also consider agreements with the Oregon Department of Transportation to replace City water and fiberoptic utilities in connection with the state’s Center Street Bridge earthquake upgrade project.

The meeting will be at 6 p.m. in Loucks Auditorium at the Salem Public Library and on YouTube.

A proclamation declaring December 10 Human Rights Day in Salem is also planned.
Also on the December 1 agenda:

  • Public hearings to annex territory, making it part of the City, at 4952 Center St. NE and at 3741 Langley Street SE and the 3700 to 3800 Blocks of Langley Street SE and Timbet Drive SE

Public hearing to authorize an alternative contracting method for clarifier rehabilitation at the Willow Lake Water Pollution Control Facility
