The Salem City Council will meet Monday, August 10, at 6 p.m. in Loucks Auditorium at the Salem Public Library.
Councilors are scheduled to consider an update to the city’s policy on solid waste management. They will also receive updates on community engagement efforts in northeast Salem through the Northeast United Initiative and the Salem Fire Department’s first year after reintegrating ambulance services.
Information reports presented to the council will include the City of Salem’s preliminary financial report for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026. Councilors will also receive a Hearings Officer’s decision concerning a permit for a short-term rental.
The consent calendar includes a resolution amending the city’s Solid Waste Management Policy. It also includes approval of minutes from the July 20 City Council work session, the July 27 council meeting and the August 3 special meeting.
