Stayton, Ore. – Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies were looking for a wanted suspect at a residence in the 400 block of W. Locust Street in Stayton.
As deputies set up in the area, the suspect fled from the residence and was apprehended several blocks away. There was a strong law enforcement presence in the area during the incident; however, the suspect is now in custody and there is no danger to the community.
We would like to thank the Stayton Police Department for their assistance.
The suspect had outstanding warrants, and additional charges are pending.
