Corvallis Police Arrest Man on Child Sexual Abuse Charges

The Corvallis Police Department has arrested Gabriel A. Cleveland, 24, of Philomath, following an investigation involving the sexual exploitation and abuse of a 15-year-old girl.

Investigators learned Cleveland became acquainted with the victim through another juvenile and subsequently connected with her on Snapchat. During their communications, Cleveland sent the victim sexually explicit photographs and videos and asked for sexually explicit images of herself. The victim said Cleveland threatened to harm her if she did not comply with his demands.

Cleveland later arranged to meet the victim at a Corvallis park, where he provided her with marijuana and committed sexual offenses against her.

As a result of the investigation, Cleveland was arrested and lodged at the Benton County Jail on the following charges:

ORS 163.670 – Using a Child in Display of Sexually Explicit Conduct

ORS 163.686 – Encouraging Child Sexual Abuse in the Second Degree

ORS 163.427 – Sexual Abuse in the First Degree

ORS 163.425 – Sexual Abuse in the Second Degree

ORS 163.415 – Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree

ORS 163.433 – Online Sexual Corruption of a Child in the First Degree

ORS 163.432 – Online Sexual Corruption of a Child in the Second Degree

ORS 167.057 – Luring a Minor

ORS 163.575 – Endangering the Welfare of a Minor

ORS 475C.345 – Unlawful Delivery of Marijuana Item
