Women of Valor
The Lacey Lady is the original Nose Art for the Gas Station Bomber. She represents women leaders in our community who love their country and serve others.
On July 25th, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm join B-17 Alliance to honor 100 years of women leaders in the military as we celebrate the Lacey Lady’s Birthday.
ACTIVITIES
Tour the Museum to hear stories of valor about women who served with dedication because it was the “Right Thing” to do.
Enjoy a commemorative soda float, learn about the B-17 Restoration and help return this Flying Fortress to flight!
WWII was a turning point for American women who came out of the home to pilot aircraft, work in manufacturing plants and help the United States overcome the Axis and achieve Victory. (“Axis” primarily refers to Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, and the Empire of Japan who fought against our Allies in World War II.)
1:00 Program Presenting Seattle’s Museum of Flight, Alice Miller, a living historian who has dedicated her life to educating others. Alice will present an extensive display that represents 100 years of Women Military History. You’ll enjoy her insightful demonstration of historical fashion and vast knowledge.
Bring the family and experience an era that inspires us all to be better citizens.
