Denise and Hunter talk with Salem resident Matt Hale about the proposed City of Salem’s annual budget. Matt has been doing some deep research into what is being proposed and shares his data and his thoughts on what the city is proposing. Later in the show, HD 17 Rep. Ed Diehl calls in to give us an update on the horrific HB 2002 and his amendment to add coverage for detransition treatment that was flatly rejected by the Democrats. His Twitter thread on this has gone viral and has been picked up by a number of national news sites – so far, it appears that no Oregon MSM outlet has reported on it. We will continue to monitor both of these issues and have Matt and Ed back with updates.
