Newsmakers At Noon 5/12/22

Posted on May 12, 2022

We close out our Newsmakers at Noon broadcasting week with a jam-packed show featuring two local women running for office. Amy Ryan Courser, Republican candidate in CD 6, stops by to give us an update on her campaign and to talk about issues that are hitting the news and impacting Oregonians. She shares the latest ballot return numbers and encourages us all to get our ballots turned in by May 17th. Later in the show, we talk with local business owner Julie Hoy who is running for Salem City Council in Ward 6. Julie shares what propelled her to run and her experiences meeting her neighbors and hearing their concerns. We also heard from Oregon Right to Life Executive Director, Lois Anderson on how she and her staff are doing after vandals damaged their offices in a recent attack. She emphasizes that they are standing strong in their mission to protect life and will not be deterred by violence. #GOTV #RedWave2022 #LiveLocalTalk #LocalElectionsMatter
