The Hope Dealer Episode 10 – Nobody Is a Lost Cause

Posted on September 13, 2026

Richie Inman’s story continues on The Hope Dealer as he and Matt take listeners into some of the darkest places they’ve encountered in Oregon, Salem and beyond – and explain why they believe no one is beyond redemption.

Richie and Matt discuss what they’ve witnessed involving crime, homelessness, prostitution and human trafficking, including the disturbing cycle in which exploited women can ultimately end up abandoned in homeless camps. They also talk about recent crime busts and the realities they see on the streets that rarely make it into polite conversation.

But this episode isn’t ultimately about darkness. It’s about what can happen when someone walks directly into it carrying hope.

Richie shares stories from mission work in Mexico, encounters involving areas affected by cartel activity, and a New Jersey mission where a third-generation criminal came to Christ and broke down crying like a child.

Richie now manages homes for people coming out of prison, using his own experience to help men navigate a world he once couldn’t navigate himself –  while sharing the Gospel that changed his life. His work has gained enough trust that courts now reach out to him for help.

Richie describes himself as a new creation, and his life has become evidence of the message at the heart of The Hope Dealer:

No one is too far gone. Nobody is a lost cause.
