Matt welcomes Richie Inman, whose story is one of the most dramatic examples yet of a life completely transformed.
Richie grew up surrounded by criminality. His parents were outlaws, and as a kid, what he wanted more than anything was simply a normal life. Instead, he found belonging among skinheads and spent much of his life immersed in white supremacist ideology, racism, violence and an antisocial criminal culture.
That road eventually led to more than 35 felony convictions and time in the state penitentiary. Prison became so familiar that when Richie was released, he didn’t know how to function in the outside world. Without the basic skills to navigate normal life, he found himself trying to get arrested just so he could go back to the environment he understood.
Then a judge made a decision that would change the direction of his life, remanding Richie to the Adult & Teen Challenge ministry.
Today, Richie tells a very different story. He is a follower of Jesus Christ with a new purpose, a new identity and a life dedicated to helping others discover that their past doesn’t have to determine their future.
