Aurora, Ore., December 20, 2018—Life Flight Network, the nation’s largest not-for-profit air ambulance company, is expanding operations with a new administrative office in Wilsonville, Ore. This week, Life Flight Network opened an office that will provide professional workspace in the heart of Wilsonville, enabling the company to expand services at its headquarters in nearby Aurora.
“We’re excited to announce Life Flight Network is growing and becoming a part of Wilsonville’s emerging business community,” said Mike Griffiths, CEO of Life Flight Network. “Our new offices will allow us to provide even more support to the women and men called on every day to provide ICU-level critical care transport across our four-state region. This expansion reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in our organizational infrastructure, EMS teams and local communities.”
The new offices, located at 9175 SW Wilsonville Road will be home to accounting, payroll, IT, membership and revenue cycle functions. These positions support more than 500 other Life Flight Network employees at 23 bases in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana. The existing headquarters at the Aurora Airport will remain and allow additional space for Life Flight Network to serve its core mission to provide critical care transportation to ill or injured patients in a safe, compassionate, efficient, and expeditious manner.
Founded in 1978 as Emanuel Life Flight, the program was owned and operated by Emanuel Hospital (now Legacy Emanuel Medical Center). Emanuel Life Flight was one of the first hospital-based air ambulances on the West Coast and only the fourth in the nation. Today, the consortium of Oregon Health & Science University, Legacy Emanuel Medical Center, Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, and Providence Health & Services own Life Flight Network.
