The Oregon Senate Republicans have a new leader for the 2019 legislative session. They voted Senator Herman Baertschiger, Junior, from Grants Pass to take Jackie Winters place in the post.
Winters had held the post for the last two years. Winters stepped down from the post last night. She is the first African American Republican woman to lead an Oregon Legislative Caucus. She has served in the Senate since 2002.
