Bill Fugate, an 11-year state police veteran and former spokesman for Oregon State Police was convicted yesterday of misdemeanor harassment for a 2017 confrontation with his estranged wife.
The Deschutes County District Attorney’s office said in a statement that he violently grabbed his estranged wife causing bruising to her arm.
He was sentenced to 24 months of probation, two days of jail and required to complete a yearlong battered intervention counseling program.
