Air Stagnation Advisory Remains in Effect Until Noon Tomorrow

Posted on January 14, 2019

The National Weather Service as released an air stagnation advisory that remains in effect until noon Tuesday. Air quality may deteriorate each day due to stagnant air.

Smoke from wood stoves and pile burns will have difficulty dispersing. Diminished air quality could negatively affect health, especially for those with respiratory sensitivities.

You are advised to check with the Oregon DEQ for the latest air quality observations and forecasts.

An Air Stagnation Advisory indicates that due to limited movement
of an air mass across the advisory area, pollution will increase
to dangerous levels. Persons with respiratory illness should
follow their physicians advice for dealing with high levels of
air pollution.
