Salem Hospital went on lock down yesterday afternoon after receiving a threatening phone call. Salem Police say the hospital followed standard procedures.
A public address announcement was issued by the hospital notifying people on campus of the threat and advising them to use caution if they left the building.
Salem Police, after an hour of of search and investigation, deemed the treat did not appear to be credible. Salem Hospital lifted the lock down and returned to normal operations.
The investigation into the threat is ongoing.
