On September 29th, 2019 deputies from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office arrested a female after it was reported she had killed a pet rabbit belonging to a family in the 5600 block of Silverton Road NE. The female refused to identify herself at the time of arrest and was originally lodged at Marion County Jail as Jane Doe. Tuesday morning, deputies were able to positively identify the suspect as Chantel Scott, a 38-year-old female. Ms. Scott remains in custody at Marion County Jail and was scheduled for arrangement Wednesday at 3:00 pm at the Marion County Circuit Court Annex.
