Shooting in Salem Leaves Two Injured

Two people were shot in southeast Salem Wednesday afternoon, prompting a large police response and street closures. According to the Salem Reporter, the shooting was reported around 4:30 p.m. in the 4200 block of Durbin Avenue SE. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office says both victims were transported to the hospital. There was no information on their ages, medical condition or the nature of their injuries. Police do not believe there is a danger to residents. The investigation continues.
