St. Paul, OR— SOLVE and Champoeg State Heritage Area are partnering for the Willamette Riverside Cleanup April 23, 2022, from 9 a.m.-noon. Join us at Champoeg to remove invasive blackberry, ivy and black locust between the restored native prairie and the Willamette River. Champoeg was once a thriving town along the river in the 1850s and this cleanup will help reclaim the historic open landscape.

Register to volunteer at solveoregon.org or call 503-844-9571. Meet at the Champoeg Townsite Trailhead parking area on the road to the Riverside Day-use Area. Visitor parking permit provided to registered volunteers.

Long pants, long sleeves and closed-toe shoes are recommended. Water, tools and gloves will be provided. If you have a favorite pair of gardening gloves, pruners or loppers, bring them. There are restrooms in the park, but not near the work area.
