Salem, Ore. — Drivers in West Salem should be aware of road construction that will close sections of Patterson Street NW, from Edgewater Street NW to Elm Street NW beginning July 5th through July 14th, 2023. Detours will be in place at Murlark Ave NW as a bypass route for traffic heading towards Wallace Road NW.
The project is part of the 2nd Street NW street improvement and is necessary to install new utility infrastructure. The 2nd Street NW Project includes updating the roadway with a new 36-foot-wide street surface, traffic and speed calming measures, Americans with Disability (ADA) compliant ramps, ornamental streetlights, and new landscaping.
