DALLAS, Oregon (October 13, 2023)

The City of Dallas is pleased to announce the removal of the Stage One Water Conservation Measure. Recent weeks have brought sufficient rainfall to begin to refill Aaron Mercer Reservoir, and the city’s stored supply is sufficient to carry us well into the winter months.

City Manager, Brian Latta, expressed his appreciation, stating, “I want to thank the Dallas community for their support in voluntarily reducing their water consumption. We saw an immediate impact in consumption after the stage one condition was announced and are grateful for our citizens responding graciously to the request”.

The City of Dallas remains committed to its ongoing efforts in responsible water management and is actively working with the state of Oregon and other agencies to increase the size of the city’s raw water storage. We encourage the Dallas community to continue practicing water conservation. The cooperation and unity displayed during this water conservation initiative are a testament to the strength of our community. The City of Dallas would like to thank the local businesses, school district as well as those who took part in conserving water.
