The holiday season is a busy time on America’s roadways. To help keep drivers safe, members of the Keizer Police Department will be participating in the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over awareness campaign (December 13th – January 1st) sponsored by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Nationally, in 2021, there were 13,384 fatalities in motor vehicle traffic crashes in which at least one driver was alcohol-impaired. If you go out and include alcoholic beverages in your celebration, please plan to have a designated driver.
