Winter Storm Warning Remains in Effect through this Evening

* WHAT…Heavy mixed precipitation. Snow accumulations of 1 to 5  inches. Ice accumulations a quarter to a half of an inch. North  to northeast winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE…Central Willamette Valley.

* WHEN…Until 10 PM PST this evening.

* IMPACTS…Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice. Travel could be difficult.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Highest ice accumulations expected east of the I-5 corridor, while the heaviest snow accumulations will be  to the west closer to the Coast Range.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
