School board elections are in May of this year and are some of the most important races facing voters in Salem and Keizer. Today, SKSD parent Casity Troutt announced her candidacy for the Zone 2 seat. Casity was the force behind last year’s recall effort to remove 3 current board directors and she has been a passionate voice for parents and students who are deeply concerned about the current state of the Salem-Keizer School District.
