We began by marking the anniversary of one of humanity’s greatest achievements. On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first humans to walk on the Moon while Michael Collins remained in lunar orbit aboard Columbia. Nearly 600 million people—about one-fifth of the world’s population at the time—watched the historic event unfold live on television.
